The Bureau of Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism s mission is to promote U.S. national security by taking a leading role in developing coordinated strategies and approaches to defeat terrorism abroad and securing the counterterrorism cooperation of international partners.

This report provides the Department of State s annual, statutorily mandated assessment of trends and events in international terrorism that transpired in 2015, including country-by-country breakdowns of foreign government counterterrorism cooperation, and profiles of designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The Global Counterterrorism Forum

An informal, multilateral counterterrorism platform with 30 founding members that promotes a strategic, long-term approach to dealing with the CT threat.
