DISTANCE EDUCATION

The mission of the Distance Education program is to support the success of Fullerton College students who use educational technology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.

Canvas has been adopted permanently as the campus learning management system. Blackboard will be phased out on May 30, 2018. Click here to find out more.

THREE WAYS TO ACCESS CANVAS

  1. Canvas link on the Fullerton College website on the left-hand menu.
  2. Go directly to the secure login page at: fullcoll.instructure.com.
  3. Login to MyGateway. Go to the Student or Faculty tab, and scroll down to the Distance Education box. Click on Canvas at Fullerton College.

Login using your MyGateway user name and password.

THREE WAYS TO ACCESS BLACKBOARD

  1. Blackboard link on the Fullerton College website on the left-hand menu.
  2. Go directly to the secure login page at: blackboard.nocccd.edu
  3. Login to MyGateway. Go to the Student tab, and scroll down to the Distance Education box. Click on Blackboard at Fullerton College.

Login using your MyGateway user name and password.

If you reset your MyGateway password, do it only once and wait for the system to sync up. If you reset it multiple times, the system will get gridlocked. For help with MyGateway, call the District Information Services Help Desk: 714-808-4849.

Faculty and Staff: The Distance Education department also supports faculty and all educational professionals on campus with training seminars and workshops, and one-on-one help every day of the week by appointment.

To find workshops, login to MyGateway. Go to Calendars, and click on the District-wide Staff Development Calendar.

Canvas has been adopted permanently by Fullerton College. It is an LMS for use by all faculty for all courses, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses. Click here for more information.

Click here for the Faculty Canvas Information Center. If you are an active user in Canvas, you will receive Canvas update Announcements from this center. It is also a course on your Canvas dashboard that contains links to system information, online training, and more. If you are not enrolled in the center, go to the Contact Us page of this website and email the Canvas system administrator to be added to the center.
